Skylar Brown is an experienced photographer, camera operator, and digital media specialist from the Greater Houston Area, having received her BA in Communications and Information Science from the University of Alabama. During her time at Alabama, she majored in telecommunications and media production, specializing in film while gaining integral knowledge and familiarity with an impressive range of cameras. Specifically, Skylar regularly assisted in the setup of venue screens and filmed live footage of performances in Tuscaloosa at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater. Also of note during her time in school was her summer internship experience as a media production assistant, where she transcribed videos, organized paperwork, and assisted in plans for TCF in Los Angeles, serving as a videographer and photographer.

Skylar previously worked as a photographer/videographer for BioVideo at Memorial Hermann Hospital, where her primary focus was photographing newborns from the delivery room through the rest of their stay, while developing and maintaining relationships with families and hospital staff. Skylar currently works for JCPenney Portraits where she utilizes proprietary software to upload and showcase photos to professionally capture special moments for families (graduations, birthdays, holidays, etc.). In both her current and previous positions, Skylar has mastered the nuances of effective photography and grasped the daily demands of videography while filming, editing, and implementing videos for the sake of social media strategy and ad campaigns: all of which directly supplements much of what she was taught in school as an undergraduate. With her enthusiastic and creative spirit illustrated in school and her previous work experiences, Skylar believes she could be a valuable addition to nearly any staff as a film professional and digital media specialist.
